A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL and remember to lock next year's date in your racing calendar KL Mountain Bike Carnival 2010 : 27th & 28th November 2010. ----------------- 2009 RACE REPORT
 The 7th year of KL Mountain Bike Carnival this 2009 was an exciting one - seeing new faces and familiar faces taking on the trails of the Kiara hills with great gusto. The perfect weather made trail conditions ideal for riders and spectators alike. The two days of racing saw close to 200 riders signing up for a lil' bit of Kiara madness. Without Bandi Sugito (IND) to contend with, the Men's Elite category race saw our very own Malaysian rider Shahrin Amir coming in 1st in this category. Shahrin who placed 2nd last year in this category finished in a whopping 56 minutes 44 seconds shaving almost 3 minutes off Bandi's 2008 timing. 2nd place winner Mohd Hafiz Rosli finished 1 minute later, while 3rd place winner Jeoffrey Jemie finished almost 6 minutes after Mohd Hafiz. In the Women's Elite race, defending champion Masziyaton Md. Radzi completed her 4 laps in a fast 55 minutes 5 seconds, not as quick as her 2008 timing but she was also just as consistent with her 13 minutes or so laps. Noor Aliza Saiedin came in over 5 minutes after her, while number 3 went to Masziyaton's compatriot from Kedah, Nursyuhaini Othman once again.
